WATER TREATMENT

Home water supplies often contain dissolved minerals, gases, or particles that are objectionable to the homeowner. In most cases, these problems can be corrected by using the appropriate water conditioning equipment. This section is a guide to common water problems and corrective treatments. There may be multiple methods suggested for correcting a given problem. Selection of treatment and equipment depends on the severity of the problem, the amount of attention the customer wants to give to the equipment, and the amount of water available to assure proper equipment performance.

Water treatment methods vary based upon heavy metal content, minerals, man-made contaminants and bacteria found in certain water sources. It is extremely important to know exactly what you are attempting to filter or purify prior to investing money in any particular water treatment device. NEVER PURCHASE WATER TREATMENT EQUIPMENT UNLESS YOU HAVE HAD YOUR SOURCE WATER TESTED FOR MINERAL OR BACTERIA CONTENT.

Over the past 18 years, Pure Water has tested almost every water treatment technique invented and through these trials we have discovered which products prove more effective than others. Our goal at Pure Water is to offer you a variety of different water treatment products constructed of the highest quality material and designed to meet your specific need. All products we offer carry excellent manufacture warranties at fair prices with quick delivery.

Important Note:  Never, under any circumstances, select and install equipment on a private water supply without a water analysis. In most cases, a portable water analysis testing kit will give sufficient information to determine hardness, iron and pH. However, problems with taste, odor, severe corrosion or blue or black staining indicates a presence of elements that cannot be determined by a portable test kit. In this case a more complete analysis should be obtained. Send a water sample to our laboratory or, if contamination is suspected, send a water sample to your Local or State Board of Health.
